Lieutenant Colonel Bonnie Lowe graduated from Girard High School in 1985. Bonnie graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and later Magna Cum Laude from Central Michigan with a master's degree in Health Services Administration, and she is Lean Six Sigma certified as a Black Belt.

She joined the US Army Reserve in 1991 as an E-4 Specialist, Combat Medic assigned to the 382d MASH while she was teaching secondary school in Millcreek, Pennsylvania. She entered active duty in 1995 shortly after her selection from the Commandant's program at OBC. She now has 22 combined years of Army Reserve, Civilian and Active Army experience. Her first assignment on active duty was at Tripler Army Medical Center where her assignments consisted of Chief of Military Personnel as a second lieutenant and then Chief, Marketing and Education for TRICARE Pacific Region. In her next assignment she served as the detachment commander for the 8th Forward Surgical Team at Schofield Barracks, 25th Infantry Division and after that tour was selected as a protocol officer for the United States Army Pacific Command's 3 star Commanding General. She left active duty and returned to the Army Reserve in 1999. During this time she served as the operations officer for the 1984th US Army Reserve Hospital, Fort Shafter and worked as an administrative and program manager for Information Systems Support, Inc supporting the Center of Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance and various other offices. She entered active duty for the second time in 2005 when she was called to serve as the Chief, Reserve Augmentation and Mobilization at the US Army Medical Command in San Antonio, Texas in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. She served in that position for three years prior to accepting an Active Guard Reserve active duty tour bringing her back to Hawaii in 2008. Her first position was as the Current Operations Officer for the 18th Medical Deployment Support Command, Fort Shafter Hawaii she is currently the Chief of Reserve Affairs for the Pacific Regional Medical Command in Honolulu, Hawaii with an area of responsibility to support Army Reserve and National Guard throughout the Hawaiian Islands, Japan, Korea, American Samoa, Guam, Saipan, Rota and various other Pacific Islands.
