Kathleen Roberts Scholarship, $250

  • Earned mostly A’s in advanced Mathematics classes.
  • Must complete at least 2 of the 3 following classes: Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus and Calculus.
  • Attached a transcript showing proof of grades and courses taken.
  • Accepted at a college/university with a declared major of one of the following: Mathematics Education, Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Attached proof of acceptance into a college/university.

Outstanding Character and Integrity Scholarship, $500

  • Must be a GHS graduating senior who will be attending a post-secondary educational institution (college, university, trade school, etc.) or entering a US Service Branch.
  • Must show proof of acceptance into a school of higher education (acceptance letter, tuition bill, etc.) or entering a US Service Branch.
  • Must be actively involved in extracurricular or community activities.
  • Must include at least one letter of reference from a GSD Faculty member, GSD Administrator, or a local clergy, community or business leader.
  • Essay: What Outstanding Character and Integrity means to me, and how I exemplify these characteristics in my daily life.

Girard School District Foundation Ambassador Scholarship, $500

  • Must be a GHS graduating senior who will be attending a post-secondary educational institution (college, university, trade school, etc.) and show proof of acceptance.
  • Must have excellent attendance of at least 95%
  • Must have no disciplinary infractions.
  • Include GPA and class rank and attach your transcript.
  • Must list involvement in community activities, if any.
  • Must be actively involved in extracurricular activities.
  • Essay: Summarize your qualifications.

  • Submit a 250 word essay on: Why you believe you should be considered for this scholarship? The applicant must also discuss contributions they made toward making their community a better place to live.

  • Essay: What made you choose your desired profession?  How will you use the scholarship funds to further this goal?
