Art Show Benefits GSD Art Departmenst

Lacy Brant (GHS Art teacher) and Yvonne Conley (RAMS Art teacher) were presented with a check for $1100 from The Erie Arts & Culture Organization. Girard and Fairview school districts were invited to participate in a public art show and sale hosted by The Erie Arts & Culture Organization and Gail Root, owner of The Schoolhouse, at The Schoolhouse at Manchester Farms in Fairview. Each district donated 3 faculty and 10 student pieces. Girard High School submitted work from Lacy Brant, Spencer Boesch, Alexis Dudas, Paige Penfield, Matt Hess, Meghan Morgan, and Celeste Makay. RAMS donated work from Yvonne Conley, Katie Huntley, Halle Johnson, Madison Luxon, and Sydney Wetzel. Professional artists from Glass Growers Gallery were also invited to participate. Proceeds from ticket sales and artwork were donated to the school districts’ arts programs.
