Mission Statement

The purpose of the Girard School District Foundation is to enhance educational opportunities for all District students; to increase public involvement in schools; to increase initiatives which support quality instruction and lifelong learning endeavors and to encourage alumni and others to support the Foundation through annual gifts, planned gifts and memorial gifts.

  • Teacher/Staff educational grants are awarded semi-annually for projects that will improve and enhance the educational experience of the students. The project/activity may be for the classroom, after school programs, or off campus educational experiences.Learn More

  • Scholarships are available for graduating Girard High School seniors. The criteria varies including academic achievement, community involvement, volunteering, and character and integrity as well as specific disciplines such as Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.Learn More

  • Typically held events, such as the Hive of Fame, Race to Remember and the Mina George Race, are held throughout the year to raise funds for student scholarships and teacher/staff grants as well as raising awareness of the Girard School District Foundation.Learn More
